On-Site Elementary School

The new Crowley ISD elementary school is the district’s first school since 2010. Located in the heart of Chisholm Trail Ranch, the June W. Davis Elementary School will open in the fall of 2019.

The school is named after the president of the Crowley ISD Board of Trustees. A veteran educator for more than 30 years, Davis believes education opens doors for students and can play an important role in their income-earning potential.

The school was designed to showcase a centralized learning stairway, multiple collaboration spaces, a playground and outdoor learning areas. Sustainability also played an important role in the design of the school, which features geothermal heating and cooling, a metal cool roof to reflect sunlight, a rainwater harvesting system, natural light in every classroom and LED lights in the interior and exterior of the facility.

Tarleton State University

Also opening in 2019, the new Tarleton State University campus is located adjacent to Chisholm Trail Ranch.

Tarleton, which is part of the Texas A&M University System, offers more than 40 undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs. The new 76,000-sq.-ft. building will house innovative learning areas, commons gathering spaces, offices, a large event area and 2,500 students.

Crowley ISD CTE Center

Groundbreaking for Crowley ISD’s new B.R. Johnson Career & Technology Education (CTE) Center is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 14! Located just 5 miles away from Chisholm Trail Ranch, the new CTE Center offers programs of study designed to prepare students for secondary and post-secondary opportunities, utilize principles of leadership and collaboration, embrace emerging trends in education and technology, advance toward career goals, and gain the ability to manage the multiple roles of adult life.

Students will be able to study a variety of career pathways, including agricultural mechanics, veterinary science, architecture, business, child and family services, fashion design, fire science, graphic design, health science, information technology, law enforcement and more.

The former Crowley ISD CTE Center will be turned into a middle school to meet the needs of the quickly growing district.
